Initial policy for the current Crawls.bar public site. This document should be updated whenever the site's data practices or features change.
Information we collect
Definitions
In this Privacy Policy, User means a registered Crawls.bar account. A Member is a User who has joined a Group. A Group is a Crew, Crawl, Team, or Bar. A Group Administrator is a User authorized to administer a Group. A Crawls.bar Administrator is a Site Administrator with administrative responsibility across the Crawls.bar service.
When you use Crawls.bar, the information collected depends on the features you use. This may include account information, profile information, Group information you choose to provide, and technical information needed to operate and secure the site.
Information you choose to make public
Crawls.bar uses visibility settings to control what can be viewed publicly. Information displayed on public pages is intended to be visible to visitors. Members Only and Admin Only information is handled according to the access rules of the feature.
Email and phone information
An email address is used for account access and account-related communication. A phone number is not required to use Crawls.bar. If you choose to provide a phone number, it may be used for SMS notifications when you opt into those notifications and for two-factor authentication when you enable that security feature. Providing a phone number does not, by itself, mean that you will receive marketing text messages.
We do not make your private email address or phone number publicly visible simply because you have an account. Other users see contact information only where the feature and your settings expressly allow it.
Passwordless login and account security
Crawls.bar does not collect or store passwords. Account access uses email-based and/or phone-based authentication, including two-factor authentication where enabled. We may retain the authentication, verification, session, and security information necessary to operate and protect your account, but we do not store a user password.
Personal information within Groups
Your real name, email address, phone number, and other personal identifying information are private by default. They are not displayed to the public or to other Users unless you choose to make specific information visible through your profile or participation in a Group.
Group Administrators may have access to limited personal information when reasonably necessary to administer a Group, verify a Member's identity or authorization, manage membership, maintain security, or prevent unauthorized access. Group Administrators are expected to use that information only for legitimate Group administration and not disclose it outside the applicable Group except as permitted by this Privacy Policy or required by law.
Crawls.bar Administrators may access information when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, moderate, or maintain the Crawls.bar service.
Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers used to operate features of the site, such as hosting, email, SMS, or notifications. Public information may also be viewed by other users when you choose a public visibility setting.
SMS and Web Push notifications
Crawls.bar may offer optional SMS and Web Push notifications. SMS use is subject to our SMS Policy. Web Push notifications require browser or device permission and are separate from SMS messaging.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site may use cookies or similar browser storage for authentication, preferences, security, and site functionality. The exact technologies used may change as the application develops.
Your choices
You can control information you choose to publish through the available account and entity settings. If you need help with your account or personal information, contact the site administrator through the contact method provided by Crawls.bar.
Updates
This policy may be updated as Crawls.bar adds features or changes how information is handled. The current version will be posted on this page.
