SMS Policy
This policy explains how Crawls.bar collects and uses phone numbers and how our SMS messaging option works.
How We Collect Phone Numbers
A phone number is not required to create or use a Crawls.bar account. We collect a phone number only when you voluntarily provide one.
If you provide a phone number, you may choose to enable SMS messaging through your account settings. Enabling SMS allows Crawls.bar to send SMS messages for supported account, security, and notification features.
What Types of SMS Messages Do We Send?
Depending on the features you enable, Crawls.bar may send SMS messages for:
- One-time password (OTP) login and account authentication.
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) and account security.
- Crawl, Group, membership, or other service-related notifications that you have enabled.
Crawls.bar does not require SMS enrollment to create or use an account.
Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile service provider for details.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on the features you use and the notifications you enable. Authentication messages are sent when you request an SMS authentication code. Other SMS messages may be sent when an applicable Group, Crawl, membership, or account event occurs.
Opting Out of SMS Messages
You may opt out of optional SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to a Crawls.bar SMS message or by disabling SMS notifications in your Crawls.bar account settings.
If you opt out of SMS, you will no longer receive SMS authentication or notification messages. You can continue to access your Crawls.bar account using email-based OTP authentication and any other authentication methods available to your account.

Privacy of Phone Numbers
Your phone number is private by default. Crawls.bar may share your phone number with its SMS service provider, such as Twilio, when necessary to provide SMS services, authentication, security, or notifications you have enabled.
Crawls.bar does not sell your phone number or SMS opt-in information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Your phone number remains subject to the privacy protections described in our Privacy Policy.
Web Push Notifications
Crawls.bar may also offer Web Push notifications through supported browsers and devices. Web Push notifications are separate from SMS messaging and do not require a phone number or SMS enrollment.
Web Push notifications require your permission and may be used for Crawl, Group, membership, account, or other service-related notifications. You can manage Web Push permissions through Crawls.bar and/or your browser or device settings.
Changes to This Policy
Crawls.bar may periodically update this SMS Policy. If we make significant changes to how we use phone numbers or SMS messaging, we may provide notice through the Crawls.bar website or other appropriate means.
